Conditions of membership

Westonbirt, The National Arboretum is owned and managed by the Forestry Commission. The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum is a registered charity that operates alongside the Forestry Commission in a formalised partnership agreement.

Members of the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum are granted free entry to the Arboretum only on condition that they produce a valid membership card at Admissions.

Each card is for a named adult only and is not transferrable. If a member fails to produce their card at Admissions, the Forestry Commission is obliged to charge entry.  This entry charge is not refundable, either by the Forestry Commission or the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum.

Members are responsible for the safe keeping of their own cards. If a member loses their card they should inform the Membership Department immediately. A small administration charge is made for replacement cards.

Members can only gain free entry to reciprocal gardens (listed in the Welcome Pack and in Members Benefits and Events) with their card. Discounted entry to events at Westonbirt, please check the admissions page for further details.

When visiting Westonbirt Arboretum or reciprocal gardens, please act responsibly and respectfully to others; other visitors, staff and volunteers.
