31/03/2010 - Easter Fun For The Family
Easter Fun For Families at Westonbirt
Westonbirt will hold family activities throughout the Easter holidays. Trails, crafts and puzzles will help children to discover how woodlands bounce back to life after winter.
From Easter Monday to 9 April, Westonbirt hosts the Easter Challenge. Children will have the opportunity to discover which creatures living at the arboretum lay eggs, and solve Easter riddles in return for a sweet treat. All those taking part will also enter a prize draw to win an Easter egg and a small gift.
The following week, from 12 to 16 April, families can discover how Westonbirt’s trees change during spring through the Awakening Woods activities. A special trail to find bursting buds, colourful blooms and wildflowers will explore the seasonal changes taking place around the Na
tional Arboretum.
Self-guided seasonal and family trails are also available. Ask at the Great Oak Hall or download trails from the ‘Things to do’ pages at www.forestry.gov.uk/westonbirt.
All family activities take place from 10.30am to 4.00pm and are free after admission. Visit on a Wednesday throughout April and May and take advantage of half price admissions.
