An exhibition to celebrate 25 years of volunteering at Westonbirt

Westonbirt thanks it's volunteers

During National Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June) Westonbirt Arboretum will thank its dedicated volunteers with an open-air photography exhibition and a volunteer celebration.

To celebrate 25 years of volunteering at Westonbirt, an exhibition of photography showcasing volunteers’ skills and talents will take place on the Downs from 1-9 June. The photography will be displayed on hurdles crafted by Brian Williamson, professional woodland coppicer and leader of many of the volunteer working party groups.

Cheryl Pearson, Head of Volunteering at Westonbirt commented:

“The exhibition will highlight the tremendous variety of ways that volunteers help – come along and see just how much volunteers’ help benefits and supports Westonbirt.”

Volunteers have also been invited to a celebration event on Saturday 5 June.

Volunteers and their partners will be treated to a cream tea at Maples restaurant and will have the chance to relax in the beautiful environment that they contribute towards with colleagues and friends.

Hosted by Simon Toomer, Director of Westonbirt Arboretum, the event will celebrate the achievements of the last year and to look ahead to new opportunities for volunteering at Westonbirt.
