25/08/2011 - Share your dreams and help us fulfil ours!

The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum want to make your dreams come true. Throughout Treefest, 26 - 29 August, visitors will be given the chance to share their dreams and aspirations on a beautiful Tree of Dreams.

In return for a suggested donation of just £1 to the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum charity, visitors of all ages can add their dream to a special tree, by writing their wish on a tag which will then be attached to a branch of the tree, situated close to the Great Oak Hall.

The Tree of Dreams is the brainchild of Louise Bird, Head of Fundraising, who hopes to raise awareness of the work of the Friends throughout the four day festival. She said "The Friends have some great aspirations for supporting the future of Westonbirt Arboretum. This is a great opportunity for us to convey those aspirations and give our visitors a chance to share their own dreams."

The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum charity was formed in 1985 and since then has raised £2.5 million through membership, legacies and gifts to the charity, all of which has been used to maintain and develop Westonbirt Arboretum. The Tree of Dreams is dedicated to John Workman, one of the founders of the Friends.
