Great Oak Hall

A wonderful mix of ancient oak timber and traditional construction methods combined with modern light and space makes the Great Oak Hall at Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire a stunning venue.

The Great Oak Hall was built from Gloucestershire oak by master craftsmen and Westonbirt volunteers and was officially opened in November 2000 by HRH The Prince of Wales.  Read about the Great Oak Hall’s construction.

With exposed oak beams, natural stone flooring with under floor heating, neutral décor and excellent natural light, the Great Oak Hall combines medieval style splendour with modern 21st century convenience, including audio visual equipment and wifi internet access.

By choosing the Great Oak Hall as your venue, you will also be directly helping to preserve and protect the arboretum and supporting the important conservation work of Westonbirt Arboretum and the Forestry Commission both in the UK and Internationally.

Set on the edge of Westonbirt Arboretum’s 600 acres of prime Cotswold forest and parkland, the Great Oak Hall enjoys a glorious setting which creates a truly enchanting atmosphere.
