About the Westonbirt Project
Our mission at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum is ‘to connect people with trees to improve the quality of life.’
People come to Westonbirt not only to wonder at the beautiful landscape and tree collection, but to also understand more about the important role trees play in our lives.
The Westonbirt Project will enable us to maintain this special environment and to ensure Westonbirt’s survival in the future.
New facilities delivered through the project will help us to continue detailed conservation projects and expand our educational programmes. We will also be able to build new operational buildings to safely store the machinery and tools used to care for our trees.
Visitors will be greeted with a new car park and Welcome Building, and an exciting journey into our collection - the Tree Walkway - will open up an inspiring new route into our world renowned tree collection.
