Run for the trees!

Posted: January 11, 2019 at 12:00 pm

Are you kick starting 2019 by getting your running shoes on and running the Westonbirt 10K, 7pm Thursday 9 May?

This May our popular 10K race will be returning to the national arboretum, this year with a new route!

Take in the beauty of the arboretum at one of its most beautiful times of year, with spring blooms and flowering trees lining the course. With a stunning view around every corner, the route will take you through the picturesque avenues of the Old Arboretum and into the peaceful tranquillity of the ancient Silk Wood, on largely flat terrain and hard paths.

You can also help us to protect this beautiful site by signing up as a fundraising runner, and helping us to raise money for the arboretum. Raise £50 and receive early bird entry to the race in 2020, raise £90 and receive a T-Shirt and early bird entry to the race in 2020. All funds raised for the Friends go back into the arboretum, allowing the Forestry Commission to continue their important work in conservation, community and preserving this unique place.
