Weather Vane Design Competition
Westonbirt’s new Exploratree play structure is designed to encourage imaginative play, connect children with nature, and inspire a love for trees and the outdoors. We are seeking a unique weather vane silhouette to be the crowning element of this exciting new play area.
What to do...
1. Either download the entry worksheet here or pick up one at the Welcome Building on your next visit.
2. Fill the box with your silhouette/outline design.
3. Try to keep the design simple without too many details.
4. Make sure to add your name and email address in case you’re the winner!
5. Return your design to us by 01 September 2025.

Either return your entry to:

- by emailing it to marketing@fowa.org.uk
- or by posting it to Weather Vane Competition, Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum, Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury, GL8 8QS
Terms and conditions
- By submitting an entry, you agree to grant Forestry England and the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum, the rights to use, reproduce, and adapt your design for the purpose of fabricating and installing the weather vane, and for promotional purposes related to the competition, the Exploratree play area and the site.
- By providing your name and email address you give us permission to contact you about this competition.
- All entries must be original work.
- The decision of the judges is final.
- Forestry England and the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum reserves the right not to select a winner if no entries meet the required standards.
- Entries will only be considered if they have been entered by the 01 September 2025.
