About the role

Working in the Westonbirt Shop is at the front line of raising funds to help us support The National Arboretum to protect trees and enrich lives. The Westonbirt Shop is a bright and welcoming space, known for its array of stunning locally sourced, unique and eco-friendly product ranges.

As a Retail Assistant you will naturally be a strong team player and love interacting with people. You will be dedicated to providing an excellent service; acknowledging, welcoming and engaging every visitor and offering them help and advice with their purchases.

You’ll be confident at multi-tasking during our busiest times and always on hand to help and ensure the Shop is maintained to a high standard.

You will have demonstrable retail experience, preferably within the gifts and luxury items environment and be adaptable to respond to flexible shift requirements across 7 days a week. Shifts will be offered at a minimum of 4 hours and maximum of 8 hours.

Above all, we are looking for people who are customer focussed, with an engaging personality and a genuine passion for enhancing the customer experience. Westonbirt, The National Arboretum is world-renowned as one of Britain's finest tree collections. With over 600 acres homing 15,000 specimens and 2,500 tree species from all over the world, including rare and endangered trees, the arboretum plays a vital part in research and conservation, and is a popular visitor attraction, drawing over 500,000 visitors each year.

The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum is a charity that employs a small team of staff to nurture and grow our community of over 38,000 supporters and to further public enjoyment and knowledge of Westonbirt. We help to connect people with trees, improving quality of life and securing the arboretum's sustainable future.
