Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum

How we're run

The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum charity was set up in 1985 when a small group of enthusiasts decided they wanted to help preserve and develop this unique landscape.

A registered charity (no. 293190) and non-profit making company (no. 4965522) limited by guarantee, the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum is registered with the Charity Commission and Companies House.

Under charity law, we are managed by a board of trustees who are volunteers. The trustees hold responsibility for the charity's direction, policy, key strategies, budget, staffing levels and how our performance is measured.

Day-to-day management responsibilities are the responsibility of the charity's Chief Executive.

The charity operates in a formalised partnership agreement with the Forestry England.
